The
Mint Restaurant, located in Raleigh, North Carolina is an establishment
for fine dining and entertainment in Raleigh's downtown newly renovated
Fayetteville Street area. The Fayetteville Street area in Raleigh is a
district for adult-themed dining and entertainment, catering to
sophisticated and professional adults.
Created by the Raleigh Restaurant Group, The Mint opened in January
2008. The Mint features Chris Hylton as its Culinary Director and is
managed by Cara
Zalcberg. The restaurant seats 85 in the main dining room, and also
incorporates outside seating on its spacious plaza. The eXchange,
located on the Mezzanine level, features classic cocktails and house
created specialty martinis. The Mint offers private and semi-private
dining options as well as off-site catering. |

Chris
Hylton, the Culinary Director of The Mint Restaurant, started his
culinary career in Los Angeles, CA at age 18 and most recently came to
Raleigh from Washington, DC. Prior to joining The Mint, Chris was the
Executive Chef at OYA Restaurant & Lounge in Washington, DC though
prior to that held a number of culinary and management positions as
various restaurants in Los Angeles including Mobay, Kas-bah, and Linq.
Chris enjoys pairing recognizable foods with international flavors and
ingredients to create unique dishes that are powerful in favor and
beautiful in design. Chris uses local and seasonal ingredients
constantly evolving the menu to keep repeat guests satiated with the
latest in food trends and seasonal delicacies. The Mint provides a
menu that is descriptive in flavor, focusing on the ingredients and
emphasizing aesthetics and texture differences.
Chris is supported by an outstanding culinary team bringing experience
from all over North Carolina and throughout the US. The combined
culinary talent of The Mint’s staff provided guests with a rich balance
of recognizable foods and unique flavors.

main restaurant area of The Mint. You'll not only find first rate
bartender service upstairs, but full dinner service is also available.
The eXchange is a beautiful setting where you can unwind after work,
meet friends for a drink, or come for a casual dinner.

accommodate up to 14 people. For parties of 15 – 30, The Mint also
offers a semi-private dining space with beautiful windows and a view of
the beautiful glass etchings along our wall. For parties of 30 or
more, we are pleased to offer a number of dining options and request
that you contact us to assist you in planning your large group event at
The Mint. Customer service and an impeccable attention to detail are
