The Mint Restaurant offers downtown Raleigh contemporary fine southern dining with global influences. The ambience is a Metropolitan feel, but with a connection to the past - as the restaurant features many preserved glass etchings and vault hardware. The Mint offers a lofty, fun experience including new and enjoyable tastes on the menu, and of course - unflappable standards.

WRAL Features The Mint Restaurant

More About The Mint Restaurant

The Mint Restaurant, located in Raleigh, North Carolina is an establishment for fine dining and entertainment in Raleigh's downtown newly renovated Fayetteville Street Mall area. The Fayetteville Street area in Raleigh is a district for adult-themed dining and entertainment, catering to sophisticated and professional adults.

Created by the Raleigh Restaurant Group, The Mint opened in January 2008. The restaurant seats 85 in the main dining room, and also incorporates 64 gas-heated outside seats for dining in all but the coldest temperatures. There is a walk through/upstairs bar, The M-Bar, that features after dinner drinks, a jazz trio, and a jewel-like bar top. The M-Bar's upstairs capacity is 50 seated plus room for standing.

The Mint, managed by Doug Synder, features Jeremy Clayman as its executive chef. Jeremy started his career in Charlotte at age 15. He then moved to the Peninsula Grille, Charleston Chops, and later to the Hermitage Hotel. Jeremy says there won't be a signature dish at The Mint, but rather a menu that evolves on a daily basis to offer the restaurants patrons a variety of tastes and themes.
